Talking School Safety at Episcopal Academy

I had the opportunity to speak to the faculty, staff and administrators of Episcopal Academy in Netown Square Pa. Joined by DA Jack Whelan, CID Chief Joe Ryan and Newtown Square Police Chief Christopher Lunn, I presented on school safety and active shooters.

Timothy Boyce Private school Episcopal Academy Safety planningEpiscopal Academy is very fortunate to have appointed Joseph Shanahan to begin his tenure as the new Manager of Campus Safety. Prior to his arrival at EA, Joe Shanahan was a member of the New Jersey State Police for 25 years, serving most recently as a Troop Commander for the Field Operations Section of the New Jersey State Police.

My two hour presentation included demonstration of police tactics as well as a focus on recognizing the role “Culture” plays in safety.
