The 10 journalists came from major news organizations in Russia. They were interested in economic and national security policies being offered by candidates and how those grand presidential statements impact local elections.

The journalist heard from Delaware County elected, economic and political leaders who spoke about how they advocate for positions and people that best serve their constituents.

I was asked by the State Department to organize the US panel and to moderate the exchange. The Russsian journalist were very well prepared for the exchange and asked many questions. Among the many topics we discussed were the impact of elections on the supreme court, woman’s rights, terrorism and immigration.
